You'll first meet your guide at the Rialto Mercato water bus stop, where you'll arrive by a Vaporetto with a mobile ramp. From there, you'll head rides into the Rialto market, where you'll be able to peruse fresh seafood, get a taste of fresh fruit, and explore what was once an ancient ""bazaar."" Here, however, food isn't the only highlight. Being one of the city's cultural centers, you'll also be able to stop into artists' showrooms, see glass blowing and jewelry making demonstrations. After exploring a market that boasts an endless variety of shops and displays, you'll head to the Campo San Giacometto. At this plaza, you'll see how why Rialto such a renowned area. You'll stop by the Erberia and the Riva del Vin and get a full history of each location's historical signifance. You'll also stop by the plaza's churches, gothic architecture, and columns made from ancient Greek marble that dates to the 11th century give you a taste of the city's historic charm. Next, you'll head over to the Campo San Toma and visit the Guild of the Shoemakers and woodcarver workshops. With tradition and the city's quaint culture on display, you'll be able to enjoy a tranquil stroll to the nearby Campo dei Frari, one of the most important and popular plazas in Venice. On this guided tour, you’ll be able to traverse Venice’s Dorsoduro District cobblestone streets and its most notable buildings with a guide trained to assist people with reduced mobility and vision. Each stop o your tour will be like exploring Renessaaunce era Venice with all the addition of modern luxuries. The guide can help you find an accessible restroom near every stop as well as help you maneuver the difficult navigate pathways. To start your tour, you’ll meet outside The Salute Church waterbus stop. This is where you’ll be able to admire the outside of an ancient Roman Catholic church and minor basilica, the Santa Maria Della Salute, or as it’s commonly known as the “Salute.” After exploring Roman architecture, your guide will take you on one of Venice’s most pleasant walks- the Zattere. The Quai des Zattere is a short 1,500 meters (1 mile) stroll along Venice’s canals, where you’ll be able to pass by the district’s most ornate statues and striking vistas. This charming stroll through Venice’s cobblestone streets will bring you to the old gondola yard, San Trovaso, where you’ll see a 17th-century boatyard building with traditional wooden gondolas. With gondolas in mind, your next stop along the canals will be the Church of San Sebastiano. This 16th-century Roman Catholic church is unique, however, for its paintings by the artist Paolo Veronese, as well as paintings by Tintoretto and Titian. After stops that highly Venice’s waterways and churches, you’ll make your way to areas that breathe life into this ancient city. Your next stop will be the Campo Dei Carmini, a small plaza that is home to the Renaissance era architecture and the old of Doge Marco Foscarini. Finally, you’ll head to the last stop, the Campo Santa Margherita, where you’ll be able to enjoy the local culture of the Dorsoduro of Venice, Italy.

Visitors will meet their guide at St. Mark’s Square and make their way to the Doge Palace before ending the tour back at St. Mark’s Square. The Madonna Nicopeia Chapel at the Doge Palace has a ramped entrance and an elevator available upon request that takes guests to the museum. The museum has various collections and houses the original “quadriga” and four copper horses stolen during the Fourth Crusade.

The Vaporetto system is fully accessible as it includes step-free entrances and ramps. Your guide can help you find accessible restrooms throughout the activity and help you navigate any difficult pathways you may come across. Guests will then be transported back to the 15th century as they walk through the backstreets of Rialto, the commercial and financial heart of Venice. This area is well-known for its major markets and its landmark 15th century Rialto Bridge. These picturesque corners and quaint alleys are the perfect settings for unique travel pictures. Tourists get to sample local produce at the Rialto Market and can buy souvenirs if desired. Guests will end the tour with a food tasting that includes the Cicchetti, small snacks or sandwiches made of olives, vegetables, hardboiled eggs or seafood, and a glass of Spritz.
