This guided venture takes you over cobblestone streets, through gondola-laden canals, and inside some of the city's most renowned buildings. All you need to bring is yourself and excitement to experience history first hand. Your guide is an experienced Venetian local with a passion for making the labyrinth that is Venice accessible to others. You'll first meet your guide at the Rialto Mercato water bus stop, where you'll arrive by a Vaporetto with a mobile ramp. You'll also stop by the plaza's churches, gothic architecture, and columns made from ancient Greek marble that dates to the 11th century give you a taste of the city's historic charm. Next, you'll head over to the Campo San Toma and visit the Guild of the Shoemakers and woodcarver workshops. With tradition and the city's quaint culture on display, you'll be able to enjoy a tranquil stroll to the nearby Campo dei Frari, one of the most important and popular plazas in Venice. Here you can marvel at the Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa Dei Frari, one of the largest religious buildings in Venice, as well as its Renaissance-era painting and architecture. Finally, you'll head to the Campo San Rocco, another popular plaza near the Rialto Bridge.
