Overview

On this self-guided accessible museum visit, you’ll learn about the history and legends of the Superstition Mountain and Apache Junction area. The museum has artifacts that tell the story of the early settlers of the American West, the Native American people and the films and TV shows that made the region famous. You can see both indoor exhibits and examples of historic buildings like the old Goldfield Church. This family-friendly museum is a great introduction to the local area. 

The museum is accessible to people with disabilities and has an accessible bathroom. The museum can be navigated independently in a wheelchair and visitors with reduced mobility can also borrow a golf cart to use onsite.

From October to April: The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9 AM to 4 PM. From May to September: The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 9 AM to 3 PM. The museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day and Easter.

Tickets must be purchased at the box office.

Tickets cost $7 per adult, $6 per senior (aged 65+) and $4 per student (aged 11 to 17). Children under 10 years old are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Museum Members enter free of charge.
