Overview
This accessible guided tour will introduce you to Little Havana and will explore the influence that Cuban migrants have had on the city of Havana. The private tour lasts for approximately 2 hours and begins at the Bay of Pigs monument, where your guide will explain the history of immigration from Cuba to Miami. You will discover the Calle Ocho neighborhood, where many Cubans settled to start a new life in the US. During the tour, your enthusiastic guide will discuss many aspects of Cuban life, from cuisine to coffee to cigars and of course, Cuban coffee. You will have the chance to sample some traditional food, such as baked pastries, accompanied by freshly brewed Cuban coffee and a tropical fruit juice. You will also visit some Cuban shops during the tour, selling everything from clothing to exotic foods and souvenirs. You may also meet musicians playing Cuban music and learn about popular Cuban games that are enjoyed by all generations of the family. At the end of the tour, you may want to linger in Little Havana for lunch or to go shopping. Your guide will be on hand to give tips about the best places to eat, with restaurants available to suit many different diets and budgets, or you can head back to downtown Miami.
