On this 2-hour culinary guided tour, you will explore one of New York's hottest boroughs: Brooklyn. You will stroll through hip neighborhoods such as Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO, stopping at the best eateries. Slices of pizza, pastries, and other iconic New York dishes will be part of the menu for you to experience the city, its food, and its landscapes as a true New Yorker.

Ideal for a romantic date, a family outing, or trip for an out-of-town visitor, the boat tour sails through the NYC Harbor, closely passing The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Governors Island, and offers the best views of NJ and NYC. While onboard, make sure to grab a drink and raise the sails. 

You are welcome to bring your lunch or purchase a drink from the ship's bar. So, hop aboard for the ultimate bucket list experience, and spend the afternoon sailing New York's coast until sunset.

ACCESSIBILITY:

Sailing should be accessible to all, regardless of mobility challenges. The Clipper City Tall Ship, built before the A.D.A., offers wheelchair accessibility to 80% of its public deck space. Boarding the vessel typically requires assistance from the crew due to wakes from ferry boats and tidal changes. Clipper City features a large main deck with restrooms on the same level. Although bathrooms cannot be entered while in a wheelchair, transfer to the bathroom is possible with grab bars inside. 

Unfortunately, larger electric scooters and wheelchairs cannot be accommodated. The 1929 Shearwater Schooner is not wheelchair accessible.

One World Observatory

Set in the tallest building in the United States, One World Observatory has a privileged view of the iconic New York Skyline. One World Trade Center boasts over 100 floors, has a cafe, a restaurant and bar, and a gift shop. Built after the tragic loss of the twin towers in 2001, this place commemorates its victims and celebrates the strength of the American spirit. 

The building and the observatory are wheelchair accessible. All floors are accessed via speedy elevators, there is an accessible pick-up and drop-off location along West Street, and accessible restrooms with changing rooms are available. Service animals are welcome!

On this accessible dinner cruise, you can see the famous city of New York from a new angle as you cruise on a comfortable, European-inspired boat with a glass-enclosed deck. During the cruise, a 3-course meal will be served and you and your party can enjoy views of the city as you sail on the East and Hudson Rivers. All food is freshly prepared and served with unlimited tea, coffee, iced tea, and water, and you can purchase wine, beer, and cocktails from the on-board cash bar. The cruise lasts 3 hours and also includes a performance from an on-board live band with a singer. 

The boat is accessible to people with disabilities and is accessed via a ramp. The ramp is quite steep but staff are on hand to provide assistance if necessary. There is an accessible restroom on board but in order to access the restroom, guests must transfer from their wheelchair into a stairlift. Service animals are permitted on the boat. 

Dinner

This trip can be arranged for customers traveling by themselves. Assistants and trained guides will be hired to assist and help out with the logistics needed.

Renting a wheelchair in New York is a great way to help you get out and about to enjoy your time in the city. Plenty of wheelchair models are available and the wheelchair will be delivered right to your hotel, for your convenience. You can choose from a wide range of wheelchairs to suit your needs, including self-propelled wheelchairs and wheelchairs that are pushed by your companion. 

However, the availability of wheelchair models may vary according to your location. Some of the wheelchairs, including the transport wheelchairs and the lightweight wheelchair models, are smaller and are designed to be easy to fold up and store in the trunk of a car, giving you the flexibility to travel as much as you want to. Standard wheelchairs are also collapsible but are designed to be self-propelling, although they can be pushed by your companion if you wish. There is also the more sturdy option of the bariatric wheelchair, which can support a greater weight load. 

Despite their higher weight bearing capacity, these chairs can still be collapsed for easy storage and are lighter than most mobility scooters. Once you’ve chosen a wheelchair to suit your needs, the chair will be delivered to your hotel and an assistant will be available to hand the chair over and answer any questions you may have. Then you can head out and explore as much of New York as you want to visit.

Guests will meet their guide and watch a short instructional safety video before boarding the aircraft. Wheelchairs do not fit into the helicopter, but crew members have experience assisting people with disabilities and are available to help will whoever needs it into a seat and out. During the whole tour, you will learn more about the city, its history, and landmarks while listening to your guide's comments.

You’ll meet your guide outside the Alexander Hamilton US Custom House and catch a ferry over to Ellis Island, where generations of immigrants arrived in America. A staple New York building, Rockefeller Center has an observation deck you can visit in an accessible way. With views to Central Park and the Empire State Building, the historic building tells the story of its evolution through time and is luxuriously decorated. You will be able to watch short films at the on-site theatre and enjoy New York’s skyline from the 70th floor. A gift shop is located on the 69th floor.

Both the Rockefeller Center and Top of the rock, the building’s observatory, are wheelchair accessible. Entrances are step-free and guides are trained to help people with disabilities choose the correct path suitable for their needs. All floors are accessed via elevators and accessible restrooms are available on the 66th floor. Service dogs are welcome every step of the way.

After watching a brief safety video, crew members will help passengers with disabilities get on and off board through manual transfers. You will fly over Central Park, the Hudson River, the New York Harbor and re-discover the city’s world-famous skyline. You will see the Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler, the Met Life buildings, and the World Financial Center from an entirely new perspective. This tour is also a learning opportunity, as your guide will explain the city’s rich history and world-famous landmarks.

The tour includes breathtaking views of the iconic Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Greenwich Village, and the historic Brooklyn Bridge. Your helicopter will then take you further North, where you will see the George Washington Bridge, the New Jersey Palisades, Columbia University, and on non-game days, the state-of-the-art Yankee Stadium. The helicopter will also explore New York’s southernmost border, and pass over the longest suspension bridge in the United States: the Verrazano.

Guggenheim Museum is an art museum located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. Named after the famed art collector Solomon Robert Guggenheim, it has a permanent collection of impressionist, post-impressionist, modern and contemporary art.
