Today, you'll have the chance to visit Key West, an island with charming streets lined with colorful shops and accessible restaurants that offer a vibrant atmosphere perfect for a day of exploration!

Depending on your preferences and mood, staying on the cruise to enjoy less-crowded pools, shops, spas, and restaurants and have a more individual experience is always a great option. If you need a pool lift, you can request it from a crew member, and it will be installed in 15 minutes.

If you choose to explore the island, disembarkation at the accessible Key West port starts at 8:00 AM. Once on the island, you can explore at your own pace! Please note that there are uneven surfaces and cobblestone floors in some areas. A power wheelchair user may find maneuvering sidewalks and streets a bit challenging. Consider renting a mobility scooter with larger wheels to handle uneven terrain better.

Visiting Mallory Square, a popular spot with shops, cafes, and street performers, is highly recommended. Most stores are accessible, and many restaurants have accessible restrooms. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and soak in the ocean views!

For a lunch break, any restaurants along Duval Street offer delicious food and accessible dining areas. Choose a spot with outdoor seating for scenic views, or relax indoors with air conditioning. At 8:00 AM, you'll disembark in the wheelchair-accessible port, featuring 5-minute trams that will take you to Bimini!

As part of the Virgin Cruises family, Beach Club at Bimini is a tropical escape with access to pristine beaches with crystal-clear waters, a casino, and a beach club that offers a wide array of drinks and treats.

Bimini is fully wheelchair accessible! It offers beach wheelchairs, pool lifts, wooden wheelways to navigate the sand, accessible restrooms, and spacious changing rooms.

After a fun-filled day, you'll return to the cruise at least 30 minutes before 7:00 PM, the departure time.

Experience one of the 'must do' Florida activities and join an accessible airboat tour through the Everglade's grass and wastelands. This accessible one-hour airboat tour is led by the oldest Everglades tour operator in the area and has been specially adapted to accommodate visitors with reduced mobility. The airboat can accommodate up to 2 wheelchairs per tour, which are firmly secured at the front of the boat. Staff is on hand to assist if necessary. 
 
Once in the boat, the tour will head out and explore the Everglades, with several stops along the way to point out local wildlife and talk about the unique ecology of the area. You may be lucky enough to spot alligators, herons, turtles, raccoons and the Purple Gallinule, voted Florida's most colorful bird. You will also see a small island that is only accessible by boat and which has an old cabin that used to be a camp for the Glades men.
 
At the end of the tour, you will return to the center and can explore the reptile exhibits, and a 20-minute reptile show is included in your ticket price, as well as the opportunity to hold a baby alligator. You can also call in at the Coopertown Restaurant, which serves Everglades specialties such as frogs legs, alligator tails, and catfish.
