Lexington, the second-most populated city in Kentucky, is famous for its sub-tropical climate and horse racing history. The city is home to various museums and events that revolve around horses, making it a great destination for horse enthusiasts. In addition to this, Lexington is also known for being the home of 1800s politician Henry Clay and offers many other attractions worth exploring.

Some of the accessible transportation options are:
Accessible public Lextran buses.
Note that there are no WAV ride-sharing services available.

Some of the accessibility features we measured include:
Room: entrance, spaces, bed and closet
Bathroom: access, interior, toilet, shower and sink
Building access, lobby, breakfast area and common spaces

Lexington has a sub-tropical climate which varies between seasons. It is best to visit during summer or fall, but be aware of high humidity levels, which can make it feel warmer.
During winter months, the city has temperatures around 35°F, even if there are cold snaps. While summers are warmer, the mid-west climate has cool breezes for pleasant summer nights, even when the days run as high as 90°F.
With a large racetrack, many of the main events focus on racing. There are several races to visit, as well as a variety of museums, special music and live events at the Burl, shopping at the Farmers Market, and more.
Visiting Lexington brings many exciting activities to the fore. Of course, a trip to the races is a must, but so is a visit to the Kentucky Horse Park or Ashland estate where Henry Clay is buried.
