Wheel the World and Binghamton's mutual effort encourages people with disabilities to travel and enjoy unforgettable experiences with their loved ones.
There is a world out there and our mission is to help everyone explore it without limits!

Nestled in the scenic hills of Upstate New York, Binghamton is a county with a big heart and even bigger stories. Known as the “Carousel Capital of the World,” it boasts six operating carousels—more than anywhere else—alongside a trailblazing spirit that gave rise to modern flight simulation and inspiration to Rod Serling, creator of the Twilight Zone. Wander accessible riverside parks, experience the groundbreaking LUMA Projection Arts Festival, and savor local flavor at Spiedie Fest & Balloon Rally. The county is thoughtfully designed for travelers of all abilities, offering inclusive playgrounds, sensory-friendly museums, and wheelchair accessible trails. With its vibrant culture, natural beauty, and pioneering accessibility efforts, Binghamton invites every visitor to enjoy the ride.

Some of the accessible transportation options are:

Room: entrance, spaces, bed and closet
Bathroom: access, interior, toilet, shower and sink

Binghamton shines with festive energy all year. In June, we show our “rainbow” support at events like Pride Palooza in the Park. For more than a decade, En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott has hosted the award-winning PGA Tour Champions’ DICK’S Sporting Goods Open. August brings Spiedie Fest & Balloon Rally, celebrating the area’s signature dish with balloons and live music. September lights up with LUMA, the nation’s largest projection arts festival. Our art galleries and creative spaces come alive every month for the First Friday Art Walk. These signature events reflect the county's creative spirit and tight-knit community.
