There is a world out there and our mission is to help everyone explore it without limits!

Welcome to the greater Cooperstown area—a one-stoplight village with outsized charm nestled in the heart of rural upstate New York. Known as the “Village of Museums,” the region is home to the iconic National Baseball Hall of Fame, Fenimore Art Museum, and one of the country’s oldest living history sites. Surrounding towns like Oneonta bring funky, college-town energy to the mix. Stroll scenic lakesides, ride the Charlotte Valley Railroad, or enjoy local flavor at Fly Creek Cider Mill and Brooks' BBQ. With inclusive lodging and efforts to improve accessibility, this is a destination that celebrates heritage, hospitality, and discovery for all.

Some of the accessibility features we measured include:
Room: entrance, spaces, bed and closet.
Bathroom: access, interior, toilet, shower and sink.
Building access, lobby, breakfast area and common spaces.

May, September, and October are ideal, offering beautiful weather, smaller crowds, and better rates. Fall colors light up the countryside, and spring welcomes outdoor adventures and festivals. Summer is also popular for big events like the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction and lakeside fun.
The greater Cooperstown area enjoys all four seasons. Spring and fall are cool and colorful, perfect for exploring museums or cider mills. Summers are warm and lively with festivals and lake activities. Winters are cold and snowy, ideal for quiet escapes or scenic snow-covered strolls.
This region offers rich seasonal celebrations. July brings the legendary Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. September and October feature the Harvest Festival at Fenimore Farm and the Glimmerglass Festival—a beloved opera and arts tradition. Events reflect the area’s charm, culture, and community spirit.
Explore icons like the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Fenimore Art Museum, and Hyde Hall. Ride the Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley Railroad or paddle with Canoe & Kayak Rentals. Taste local flavor at Fly Creek Cider Mill, Mel’s at 22, Brooks’ BBQ, or Council Rock Brewery. Stay at The Otesaga, Hampton Inn, Courtyard Oneonta, and more—all with welcoming, inclusive features.
