Home to over 1,000 square miles of forests, waterfalls, lakes, and wildlife, it's the birthplace of American fly-fishing and the iconic site of the 1969 Woodstock festival—now the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Visitors can explore charming small towns like Roscoe and Narrowsburg, enjoy farm-fresh markets, and savor the region's burgeoning craft beverage scene. With designated Dark Sky areas ideal for stargazing and an inclusive public transit option, the Sullivan Catskills welcomes every traveler with warmth, creativity, and open arms.

The Sullivan Catskills offers year-round magic. Spring brings the fly-fishing season and blossoming landscapes, while summer is alive with concerts and outdoor fun. Fall dazzles with foliage along scenic drives. Winter invites cozy getaways and light displays. No matter where, there's always something special happening here.
Expect four beautiful seasons in the Sullivan Catskills. Summers are warm and perfect for hiking, fishing, and open-air concerts. Fall bursts with colorful foliage and crisp air—ideal for scenic drives. Winters are cold and charming, with festive lights and snow-dusted villages. Spring offers a refreshing return of green trails and lively streams.
From June to August, the Forestburgh Playhouse stages dazzling performances. Bethel Woods Center lights up summer with concerts and transforms fall and winter with Peace, Love & Pumpkins and Peace, Love & Lights. In August, the Grahamsville World's Fair in Grahamsville, New York, celebrates small-town fun with rides, food, and music.
