The Fairmont Mayakoba is a luxury gated resort in the Mexican Caribbean, set in between lush tropical forests and a private white sand beach. The 5-star resort offers high-quality amenities to suit all guests, including a Mayan-inspired spa, an 18-hole golf course, an adult-only infinity pool overlooking the lagoon, a children’s wading pool, a kids’ club with arts and crafts activities, a water sports center and a selection of restaurants and bars. The resort is set just a 15-minute drive from the center of Playa del Carmen and the buildings within the resort are connected via a series of waterways that promote the protection of the region’s natural habitat. 

All guest rooms and suites at Fairmont Mayakoba are set in the jungle or on the beach. Amenities include air conditioning, free toiletries, a flat-screen TV, a coffee machine, a safe, a mini fridge and free WiFi access. Accessible rooms have a roll-in shower with grab bars and a portable shower seat, and some toilets are equipped with grab bars. The door signal has a visual notification system. 

Guests at Fairmont Mayakoba can choose from a range of restaurants and bars at the resort, including La Playita on the beach, the Ki Beach Bar which serves cocktails and Korean BBQ dishes and the La Laguna with an open kitchen. There is also an Italian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant and a casual bar in the lobby area. 

Cancun is 60 km (38 miles) away and guests can also catch a ferry to the nearby Cozumel island. The resort regularly organizes trips to Mayan heritage sites and nature walks into the jungle for guests to learn about the region. Cancun International Airport is a 45-minute drive away.
