Morning:

After having breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be picked up at 7:30 AM and transferred to Chichen Itza in the accessible vehicle for a guided 2.5-hour tour. There are a few accessible restrooms along the 2.5-hour ride.

Chichen Itza is one of the most incredible ancient cities in the world! This Mayan ruin is a Unesco wonder and is reasonably accessible. The archeological site has a ramp entrance to the ticket booth and entryway, which is flat and cemented, making it easy to navigate. As you explore the ancient city, you'll come across many paths of tightly packed dirt scattered with slightly loose and embedded stones and occasional tree roots that you'll need to navigate. But don't worry! The trails are wide, it's easy to move around, and your guide will be available to help.

If you need to take a bathroom break, there's an accessible restroom inside the main entrance building, and other accessible restrooms can be found in a small shopping center area where you can buy souvenirs and snacks.

At the end of the tour, you’ll have lunch at 1:30 PM at a local restaurant that serves true Mayan flavors. The place has accessible restrooms.

Afternoon:

At 3:30 PM, you’ll transfer to Valladolid in the accessible van. After the 1-hour ride, you’ll tour the city! Designed to showcase the city’s uniqueness, the 2-hour tour begins with a visit to the San Bernardino de Siena Convent, one of the region's oldest and most historic buildings. Your next stops are Calzada de Los Frailes and the former San Bernardino Convent. Please note there are no accessible restrooms on this tour. There will be time for photographs at each stop.

At the end of your tour, you’ll return to Cancun and arrive at your hotel at about 7:30 PM.

Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.

At 1:00 PM, you’ll have a 2-hour guided tour of the Tulum archeological site with stunning Caribbean sea views! At the entrance, you’ll be assisted in purchasing your ticket at the open-air accessible ticket booth area equipped with accessible restrooms. Once you start your journey, you’ll have to cross the entrance path made out of a mixture of cobblestone, dirt paths, and puddles. Once at the site, you’ll encounter ramps and paths that are mostly flat and spacious. However, some ramps are steep, and the paths can get slippery with puddles if it rained recently. Don't worry! Guides will be there to help you overcome any obstacles along the way.

While the most iconic view of the Tulum Ruins is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible, you’ll be able to get close to some ruins and have access to a ground-floor ocean viewpoint after crossing a sandy path.

After the tour, you’ll have a 1-hour transfer to Playa del Carmen in the accessible van. Upon arrival at 5:30 PM, you'll explore La Quinta Avenida in Playa del Carmen, the perfect place to shop for souvenirs and gifts while in Playa del Carmen! This charming pedestrian street is just a few steps from the beach and offers a wide range of shops, cafes, and restaurants to explore. Sidewalks on La Quinta Avenida are wide and flat, with curb cuts at intersections to facilitate easy movement.
