You will be taken to Casa Andina Premium Cusco (5-star hotel), where your guaranteed accessible room will be waiting for you. This day will also help you to get acclimatized to the altitude.

Afternoon: After settling in, you'll prepare for a private half-day guided tour of Cusco, a city known for its mixture of Inca and Spanish cultures. You'll discover the city's streets, churches, and archeological treasures, including the famous Stone of Twelve Angles on Hatun Rumilloc Street, the Plaza de Armas (main square), and the Temple of Qoricancha. At the end of your tour, you'll return to your hotel by accessible van or wheeling/walking; you will have dinner and spend the night there.

Please note that since Cusco is a colonial city, it can be hard to navigate for wheelchair users, the ground is made out of cobblestone, and the curbs are not ramped. This is why you'll have 2 assistants available to help, besides your guide. There will be an accessible toilet available at the Incanto restaurant near the Plaza de Armas.

Morning:

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll head to Sacred Valley on the accessible van, a beautiful site with rivers that descend through gorges, small valleys, many archeological monuments, and indigenous towns. After a 45-minute rise, our first stop will be at Huaypo Lagoon, where the exciting bike adventure through the Sacred Valley begins.

Before the tour starts, you’ll receive safety instructions from your guides and receive some fruits, coffee, and isotonic drinks. Please note that although all accessible and safety equipment is included, no properly accessible restrooms will be available throughout your ride.

This experience is a must-try for all mountain biking enthusiasts as it offers a combination of smooth dirt roads and rugged trails, showcasing the stunning scenery from Cusco to the Sacred Valley. You will be amazed by the magnificent views of the Vilcanota mountain range while cycling through the valley.

Afternoon:

Afterward, we will head to a local community to learn about their lifestyle and activities. If we are lucky enough to visit on market day, you can explore the stalls for hand-painted beads or warm ponchos and even learn about the Quechua language. A typical local lunch will also be included in the community.

To finish your day in relaxation, you will be taken back to your hotel in Sacred Valley on an accessible van.

Time to explore Machu Picchu!

On an accessible van, you will be picked up from your hotel around 5:30 AM and taken to the Ollantaytambo train station for a 2-hour ride to Aguas Calientes. There will be accessible restrooms at the Inca Rail offices and at the departure and arrival train stations. There is a non-accessible restroom on the train. After seeing spectacular sites on the train, you will board a bus that will take you to the entrance door of the citadel. Although neither the train nor the bus is wheelchair-accessible, remember that guides are eager to help wheelchair users and are trained to do so.

As one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu is known for its architectural beauty and spectacular natural landscapes. The energy you feel emerging from its enigmatic constructions will leave you breathless! You’ll explore the site on a Tracks Mobility wheelchair, which will help you explore more independently.

After the visit, you will stop for lunch in a local restaurant with fantastic food and non-accessible but easy-to-access restrooms. You will be taken back to your Cusco hotel in an accessible van.
