You'll have time to take in th...On day two of your Catalan adventure, you'll head to the iconic Sagrada Familia where you'll meet your tour guide. You'll have time to take in the intricate exterior of Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece before venturing inside where you'll be able to admire the rainbow effect of the basilica's stained glass windows in the afternoon light. Your guide will tell you all about the Sagrada Familia's history and architecture and will also be able to assist you if required. An accessible bathroom is available at this location.
Next, you'll take a smooth paved road with a slight upwards slope in parts to Hospital de la Santa Creu y Sant Pau which is roughly a 15-minute walk or a wheel away. This former hospital is the world’s largest Art Nouveau complex and a UNESCO-listed site which now serves as a museum and cultural center. Constructed at the beginning of the 20th century, the hospital is composed of 12 pavilions connected by underground galleries and surrounded by trees and plants. The hospital has step-free access and can be easily navigated in a wheelchair. The tour ends in the hospital grounds.

After exploring on your own, you'll meet your guide at Jacint Reventos Square for a tour that will give you a taste of Catalan food, history, and culture. During the tour, your guide will be able to assist you during the tour if required. The first stop on the tour is a Basque tavern set a 5-minute walk from the meeting point. Sargardi specializes in delicacies such as freshly caught fish purchased from the nearby market and you'll be able to enjoy a refreshing drink and sample three pinxtos, tasty Basque bar snacks made with a variety of tasty toppings.
Next, you'll travel another five minutes through the city streets as your guide tells you about the area's history and points out hidden gems before arriving at Cadaqués, a restaurant that features a rustic interior and offers local cuisine. Here, you'll have a choice between traditional paella or another option from the menu, all washed down with a glass of local Empordà white wine. The last stop on your tour is a further five minutes away and boasts a rooftop terrace with beautiful views of the city. Restaurant 1881 will serve you a delicious Catalan cream and sumptuous Sagardoz truffle chocolates accompanied by a sparkling glass of cava.
