The Sausalito Guided Tour is the best way to see the city in the way you want. From meeting at Union Square to your Ferry departure, everything is customizable to your preferences – this tour is all about what you want to see.
Although the tour can be tailored to your preferred take on The Golden City, the tour already features an itinerary packed with experiences you won’t want to miss out on. For instance, you’ll start your journey by being picked up from your hotel in a van with accessibility features or connecting with your local guide at Union Square, where you’ll get an introduction and brief history of the location. Next, you’ll make your way to the Mission District, a neighborhood famed for its outdoor art galleries. Here you’ll be amidst colorful walls, vibrant mosques, and an energetic atmosphere as you stroll through picturesque Balmy, Cypress, and Lilac Alleys.
After a colorful excursion to the mission district, you’ll get back into your accessible transportation and make your way to your next two stops: Alamo Square and Twin Peaks. At each of these stops, you’ll be able to witness views of the city over rolling hills and get a taste of local culture. Next, you’ll head to the Castro Neighbourhood and experience its upbeat LBBTQ+ friendly environment and as well as take a short rest at Dolores Park.
The relaxation continues with a stop at Haight Ashbury neighborhood, where you can soak up the San Francisco sun and enjoy its historic hippie vibes. Next, you’ll head down to the famous Golden Gate Park and then take a trip Downtown to see City Hall, the Civic Center, China Town, and the Italian neighborhood. You’ll traverse iconic Lombard street and make your way down to the Marina District Fisherman’s Wharf, Marina District, and then The Palace of Fine Arts before stopping for lunch at Fort Point.
After a bite to eat, you’ll cross over the Golden Gate Bridge and admire city views on your way to the town of Sausalito. Here you’ll make your last stop to explore the town’s scenic waterfront. You’ll be able to explore Sausalito’s boutiques, art galleries, and marinas and be able to truly experience the city like a local before heading back to the ferry. Make sure to make take in the views of the bay and of the Golden Gate Bridge on your way back to San Francisco!
