On this breathtaking full-day tour from Reykjavík, you will experience Iceland's most magnificent waterfalls, wander along a black volcanic sand beach, and come face to face with a glacier. You'll be picked up from your accommodation in the morning and start your journey through the lush farming lands of south Iceland. Your first stop is at Sólheimajökull, where you'll have a chance to marvel at the beauty of this outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull. From there, you'll continue to Reynisfjara, a black sand beach that has been named one of the most stunning in the world by National Geographic. You'll walk along the shore, gaze at the Reynisdrangar rock stacks, and explore the Garðar cave with its incredible basalt columns.

You'll find a smooth wooden ramp at the entrance, making it easy for those in a wheelchair to enter, and the interior is free of obstacles, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. The accessible restrooms are conveniently located and make it easy for everyone to enjoy the meal.

While you're here, we highly recommend trying the lamb chopsticks or the succulent cod fillet. If you're feeling adventurous, ask the owner Laki to let you sample the unique and flavorful rotten shark. No matter what you choose, you're in for a taste sensation that will leave you feeling satisfied. The restaurant has also vegetarian and vegan options.

Blue Lagoon relaxed evening (3:30 hrs)
The Reykjanes peninsula is home to the unique Blue Lagoon and you will have the choice to visit it today and enjoy the relaxing properties of the geothermal water. The Blue Lagoon is fully accessible, with changing rooms for wheelchair users as well as a special wheelchair to enter the lagoon through a gentile ramp. The deepest point of the lagoon is 1.60m/5.2ft, but mostly it is much shallower than that. Assistance will be provided especially for solo travelers with accessibility needs.

First up, you'll visit the breathtaking Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning geological beauty and rich history.   • If you want your own room there is a single supplement additional charge of $650 USD

  • This tour has a maximum capacity of 10 people, with a total of 4 power wheelchair users

  • A 20% deposit is required to secure your spot on the tour. The remaining 80% must be paid 45 days before the trip start date.

  • Group tours will be accepting new travelers until 60 days prior to the start date

  • This tour must have a minimum of 7 participants to take place at the listed price. If the minimum is not reached, the tour still may be able to occur at a higher price, we will let you know by email.

  • Travel insurance is not included but is highly recommended.

  • Visa requirements can vary depending on your nationality. Ask a travel expert if you need assistance.

  • We strongly recommend booking flights with a flexible price, so that you can make changes if needed.

  • If you're looking to make your group tour even more amazing by adding extra days or activities, our travel experts would be more than happy to help you out! They're knowledgeable and friendly, so don't hesitate to reach out to them. They will be more than happy to help you plan your dream trip!

Cancellation Policies

  • We totally understand that things come up and plans change. If you need to cancel your booking, here's what you need to know.
  • If you need to make changes to your booking, like canceling some or all of it, here's what you need to know. To officially cancel your trip, we need to get written confirmation from you. Just reach out to your Travel Expert and they'll help you with the process. Consider:
  • 1) If you let us know more than 60 days before your trip, we'll keep your deposit as a credit for you to use later.
  • 2) If you let us know between 45 and 59 days before your trip, we'll charge a 30% fee of the total booking cost.
  • 3) If you let us know between 44 and 30 days before your trip, we'll charge a 60% fee of the total booking cost.
  • 4) If you let us know 29 days or fewer before your trip, we'll charge a 100% fee of the total booking cost.
  • 5) No-show or not used portions of the trip are non-refundable.
  • But no matter what, we'll do our best to make this process as easy as possible for you.
  • If a trip or activity cannot take place due to extraordinary circumstances (extreme weather events, social movements, war, earthquakes, epidemics, etc), a full refund cannot be guaranteed. Rest assured, the Wheel the World team will do its best to offer the best arrangements possible.
