After breakfast at your hotel, you'll be transferred by your guide on an accessible van to Bodega Alta Alella, 20 minutes from Barcelona, for an incredible 2-hour tour and wine-tasting experience!
With incredible Mediterranean sea views, visit Bodega Alta Alella, a small family-run winery in Serralada de Marina Natural Park, near Barcelona. With ecological vineyards, in this experience, you'll learn about wine production and taste different wines.
In this experience, you'll learn about vineyards, land, and sea and have the opportunity to discover their winemaking process and taste their award-winning wines and cavas paired with excellent food such as Iberian ham, cheeses, tomato bread, and extra virgin olive oil.
Both the winery and the tasting area are fully accessible. They have an adapted restroom and a wine and sparkling wine exhibition shop where you can purchase a souvenir if desired. Access is through a smooth and gently sloping ramp. The vineyard consists of soil and gravel, which may pose challenges for some wheelchair users.
Afternoon:
Later, you'll embark on a local 3-hour gastronomic tour of Barcelona! This fun and accessible tour of Barcelona will introduce you to local cuisine and the exciting elements of Catalan culture, history, and customs.
An expert guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you, in an adapted vehicle, to the tour's starting point. You'll begin a walking or wheeling tour through some of the most emblematic streets of old Barcelona. You'll visit Plaza Sant Jaume, one of the city's most representative sites, which houses the Presidency, the headquarters of the Regional Government of Barcelona, and other emblematic buildings.
During the tour, you'll make a first stop to enhance the route at an urban Basque tavern in the Born neighborhood. Here, you'll enjoy 1 pintxo (bite-sized appetizer served in bars) and a soft drink or beer. It is an informal, small space with outdoor tables reminiscent of the maritime taverns on the Basque coast.
You'll then continue the route through its charming cobblestone streets, where you can see the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar and the Picasso Museum. Your guide will share stories and anecdotes about this attractive neighborhood of Barcelona.
To conclude the tour, the guide will take you to a fantastic modern restaurant with exposed stone walls, hanging lights, and Catalan market cuisine. Here, you'll complete the gastronomic experience by enjoying various dishes from Catalan and Mediterranean cuisine.
This tour's food may vary depending on the season and your food restrictions.
