Overview

Named after the famous World War II naval and aerial battle, The Midway is a retired aircraft carrier and museum in San Diego. With restored aircrafts and 10 acres of exhibits, not only helicopters and airplanes can be found, but also real objects and testimonies about crew members are exhibited.

The ticketing area is at the building entrance level and most of the museum is wheelchair accessible. Some areas are accessible by elevators and adapted restrooms are available on the Hangar and Flight Decks. A limited number of complimentary wheelchairs are offered. Also, an American Sign Language tour is an option for people with hearing disabilities, as well as a written audio tour script.
