Overview
Located in Dutchess County, Staatsburgh State Historic Site is an elegant country home of Ogden Mills and Ruth Livingston Mills. It stands as a testament to the grand estates constructed by America's financial and industrial leaders during the Gilded Age. Perched overlooking the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains, it represents the flourishing of America's economy and its emergence as a global power. Today, the meticulously restored mansion offers tours and hosts special events throughout the year, allowing visitors to experience its turn-of-the-century splendor.
The site has an alternative ramp entrance with a step-free doorway. There is an accessible restroom equipped with a toilet with grab bars and a sink with knee clearance. Designated parking spots are available, and the site offers assisted listening devices on request. Service animals are allowed inside the mansion.
The grounds are free, but you must purchase a ticket to enter the mansion.
Although the doors are opened manually, the staff opens them for all guests (no guest has to open them for himself/herself).
Assisted listening devices are offered.
Experience in the museum is always guided (tour guides) by staff/volunteers stationed at different areas.
